Hogs and Kisses

Here's my card for the current sketch at Match the Sketch. I made a "punny" Valentine's Day card that I sent to my sister.  She should have received it by now, so I think it's okay to share . . .

Hogs and Kisses card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Reverse Confetti
The cute little piggy I used as my focal image is from Reverse Confetti's Cured stamp set.  I colored him up with Copic markers, then cut him out with the matching die.  To go with the pink piggy, I covered a deeper, rosier pink card base with coordinating pink dotted patterned paper.  I added an aqua blue strip across the cardfront.  The piggy was placed on a pale green strip using foam tape. I added the pink strip with the pig to the cardfront, then tucked a narrow strip of green "grass," cut with a border punch, beneath the raised image.  I stamped the "hogs and kisses" sentiment on the blue panel to the right of the pig to finish the card.

Materials Used:
Hogs and Kisses stamp set, Flamingo and Iced Aqua cardstock, True Love 6x6 paper pad, Hogs and Kisses dies (Reverse Confetti); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Sour Apple and Insulation Pink cardstock (My Favorite Things); Grass border punch (Fiskars); foam tape
