Hogs and Kisses

Here's my card for the current sketch at Global Design Project.  Yes, it is St. Patrick's Day and yes, this card is more appropriate for Valentine's Day, but I'm going with it!

Hogs & Kisses card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Reverse Confetti
My focal image is one of the sweet piglets from the Reverse Confetti Cured stamp set.  I colored the piggie with Copic markers and cut it out with the matching die, then used foam tape to place it on a white circle.

To make the backdrop for the image, I used RC's Heart stencil and pale pink distress ink to stencil a heart pattern on the pale pink card base.  I adhered a darker pink cardstock strip, edged with a narrow silver stripe, to the bottom of the card base, then added the image panel on top.  I accented it with a pink seam binding bow, then stamped the set's "hogs and kisses" sentiment directly on the cardfront to finish the design.

Materials Used:
Cured stamp set, Flamingo cardstock, Cured dies, Heart stencil (Reverse Confetti); Spun Sugar distress ink (Ranger); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Insulation Pink cardstock (My Favorite Things); Recollections silver cardstock (Michaels); circle dies (Spellbinders); seam binding (Martha Stewart); Bow Easy; foam tape
