Color Throwdown 439-I Thank My Lucky Stars

It's time for another Color Throwdown!  Vickie is our hostess this week and she's sharing a bold, color combination--red, orange, purple, and yellow.

Lucky card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Concord & 9th
I created an inked panel using all of the challenge colors to make a background for a large die cut sentiment.  If you look closely, I think you can see all of the colors there!  I was a little heavy-handed with the water droplets I added to the panel--that seems to be a trend on most of my panels like this . . .  I topped the panel with the "lucky" die and some text from the Lucky stamp set and coordinating dies from Concord & 9th.  The word "lucky" was die cut from dark purple cardstock and layered on to a matching craft foam die cut for dimension before it was adhered to the card base.  The text was stamped in dark purple ink, even though it reads more like black on the panel.  I added a few clear sequins as an accent, then layered the finished panel on to a dark purple card base.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post.  As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine.  Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project.  And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD439.  If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd439 and #colorthrowdown.  You can find us on Instagram (and on Facebook!) with the username colorthrowdown.

Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team, our April guestie Jeanne Jachna, and this week’s guest star stamper, Pat Gotsis.
